Gazèl is a small company focused on reducing the environmental impact of its everyday activities, primarily involving its employees but also logistics and the end consumer.
NO PLASTIC: RECYCLE AND MAKE YOUR COFFEE BREAK EVEN MORE WORTHWHILE
Is it possible to make your office’s activities environmentally sustainable? Sure it is… at Gazèl our coffee breaks are “strictly GREEN”!
There are lots of little things we can do to reduce the impact of our business in the community and these include the choices we make when we take a break!
We no longer use plastic cups, plates or cutlery and we each have our own personal ceramic mug, another step in the direction of a #plasticfree environment.
SAVING WATER AND PAPER HAND TOWELS
What is the most environmentally-friendly way to dry your hands?
Each of us has a fabric towel with their name embroidered on it to dry their hands after washing and prevent the pointless waste of paper towels or electric hand dryers that consume energy.
Have you ever wondered why cardboard boxes sometimes smell rather unpleasant?
Don't worry, it means that they are made with recycled material!
The cardboard boxes that arrive at our logistics site are reused up to 5 times before being recycled. They go from our suppliers to our warehouse, onto our retailers and through to the final store. Once there, we reuse them for as long as they remain in optimum condition for the storage or transportation of garments and store materials. If this is no longer the case, we recycle them.
The products that you purchase online are also sent in these recycled cardboard boxes and we would ask you to reuse them also if you need to make any returns in order to reduce paper waste and enable us to recycle them.
In addition, in our directly operated stores and for online purchases the old paper bags with plastic-coated logos have been replaced with the current 100% recycled paper shoppers, respecting the brand’s ethics and DNA.
